#signoflove from Mazatlan and my good friend Mike Dunn, affectionately known as MD. He’s not on IG but he is currently on a surf trip with my husband @timkirks who may have a thing or two to say to him about sending #signsoflove to his wife! Just kidding of course! I ❤️ the crowd-sourcing of this community!
Happy 25th Anniversary my Love @timkirks ! I hope we are allowed another twenty-five years to keep falling in love with each other and being a family.
Perfect autumnal #signoflove Happy Monday friends.
Sunday #signoflove straight out of the Tierrasanta wild courtesy of my good buddies Mitch @wmitchg and Dave. Thanks for thinking of me guys. This is definitely the most dangerous one I’ve ever encountered.
Today I wear black. I wear black in solidarity with my sisters (and brothers) who have been assaulted, abused, doubted and silenced. I wear black in solidarity with those who have been told explicitly and implicitly that the reputation of some people, places, and institutions is more important than their humanity. It may have been based on their gender, skin color, age, religion, ability, language, sexual orientation, addiction, intelligence, socioeconomics, or "otherness" in any form. The more of this "otherness" they manifest, the less humanity they are granted. I wear black in solidarity with those who have been dehumanized, so that others can continue to feel "super-human." I wear black because I am a perpetrator as much as a victim. I'm not wearing black simply to indicate my displeasure with today's approval of Brett Kavanaugh. That's just a happy coincidence. His confirmation is just a symptom of the problem we humans have with power.
Today’s #signoflove brought to you by Sia Gebhard, age 9, who did the artwork and my friend Kate, who gifted me the candle that makes such a lovely light during my morning meditation. Thanks girls for setting the scene for my morning sits.
